What is Be Still Mom?

Our heart and soul is to ​make God's word less intimidating for moms of all ages and stages of life to successfully maintain a desire and confidence to make it the center of their homes. This changes generations!

Most people think Be Still Mom is for moms of littles, and it is, but the Lord has expanded it's reach to moms of all ages and seasons of life (grandmothers included!) and it's truly brought Titus 2 into real life. We even have one group who named themselves Be Still Grannies because older moms were desperate to join the club! We never, ever, lose our motherhood, no matter what happens, so we continue to pour into moms of adult children too (because word on the street is that's the hardest season of all!)

No matter how old you are, managing the weariness of an infant that won't sleep, frustration from the tude of a hormonal teen, choices of your adult children that peak your frustration, mom guilt, comparison, anxiety - all the things - require a consistent investment in your heart and mind with the life giving words of Jesus. This keeps the feet of moms on a solid rock only the Lord can provide as we live out our callings as moms.

Through the vision the Lord gave Leigh Anderson in 2016, Be Still Mom was launched and the immediate response made mouths drop. Hundreds of moms flocked to the local church who supported the mission to help and serve hundreds of hungry moms every week.

What makes Be Still Mom different? We don't shy away from the issues no one wants to talk about in church. The real life challenges of motherhood in every season is where we need God to meet us the most. Whether we struggle with other moms with more financial security than us, comparison, temper issues from being so overwhelmed, single moms, moms of disabled children, a tense and strained marriage, spending addictions, food addictions, or any number of other topics that often bring too much shame to bring up, we bring them up from stage! Moms aren't required to talk personal struggles, but Be Still Mom as an organization will tackle them for you!

Over the years, God has used the ministry of Be Still Mom to minister to other mothers in Guatemala, and has reached over 1,600 moms through weekly Bible studies, annual retreats, conferences, Mom's Night Outs, and various other walking clubs and Christmas gatherings designed to foster community and ignite new friendships. To this day, there are friend groups who are still doing life together years later as a result of the table they sat down at at a Be Still Mom gathering, including an official adoption of a child because she sat down beside an adoption advocate. He is 10 now.​​
